Ligia Madrigal / Ultramarathoner / is preparing to climb the Everest
Ligia, who is 45 years old, would like to be the first "Tica" (Costa Rican) to climb the 29,000 foot Mount Everest. It will be a joint effort with the first male Tica, Warner Rojas, to ever summit Everest. They plan to climb Everest together in 2021 when Costa Rica celebrates 200 years as a republic.
